Our client was looking to Investment Analysts to join the equity finance & debt ventures team. The ideal candidate would have at least two to three years' experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or corporate finance within an accountancy firm. They needed to have first class academics, good strategic and financial analytics and modelling skills. In addition, they would have excellent communication skills and show ambition and drive.
We contacted all the relevant strategy consultants, investment bankers and corporate financiers in our network to tell them about the opportunity.
We telephone interviewed all the relevant people to identify a longlist of candidates. On interviewing the candidates in person, we were able to assess whether they had the necessary skills for the role but more importantly whether they were a good cultural fit with the client. From these interviews we compiled a shortlist of the most appropriate candidates to present to the client. Candidates then met with the client for three rounds of interviews, to ensure they met as many of the team as possible.
A successful candidate was indentified and they accepted the position within two and a half weeks of initially meeting the client.
